Standing in the 6IX

Aug 5, 2019

“I once was lost but now I’m found. Was blind but now I see.” These lyrics seem to paint a clear picture of Duane Forrest’s youth.  Whether or not it was ‘Amazing Grace’ we don’t know, but Duane says God saved him through music and art. If it weren’t for these he says he never would’ve graduated from high school.

Years later while living in Honduras with Urban Promise, grace showed up again. This time it saved others through art and music. Returning the favour he once received, Duane created, Genesis Community of the Arts. An initiative that fosters the growth of creative programs in Honduras.

From writing 36 songs in 30 days, under the Tuscan sun to playing in a Parisian basketball league, Duane is gracefully travelling the planet and sharing his musical gifts in the process. His next stop??? Edinburgh, Scotland with his production, Climb the Musical.

Ladies and gentlemen, Duane Forrest.
